Community Boards are local representative bodies that provide New Yorkers with a voice and an opportunity to help their local communities. Boards take on an advisory role in dealing with land use and zoning matters, the City budget, municipal services and many other issues related to their community’s welfare. By Serving as the local experts of city government, Community Boards play a valuable role in strengthening the already active civic life of New York City. Bronx Community Board 3 represents the Crotona Park, Claremont Village, Concourse Village, Woodstock and Morrisania neighborhoods in the South Bronx.
