Rachel Abrams is a writer and designer. As Creative Director at Turnstone Consulting LLC, she designs people-friendly, technology-mediated experiences for commercial spaces and public places. She established Turnstone in 2006. 

Born and raised in London, Rachel has worked in New York since 2001, first for IBM on user experience strategy for ibm.com, then as an interactive content strategist for Imagination, the interdisciplinary branding consultancy.

Rachel teaches in the Interaction Design MFA program at the School of Visual Arts, is a Board member of the New York chapter of the American Institute for Graphic Arts, and formerly, an adjunct professor at NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program. To date, over 25 publications have featured Rachel’s business illustrations and writing on design. She regularly gives talks about Turnstone work, locally and internationally.

Rachel has an undergraduate degree in Social and Political Sciences from Cambridge University and a Master’s degree in interaction design from the UK’s Royal College of Art.
