Nur is a community development and placemaking strategist committed to building equitable neighborhoods and commercial districts. With 10 years of experience in real estate strategy, Nur has advised cross sector clients in major markets and diverse communities across North America, including Downtown Calgary and Downtown Houston where she developed placemaking strategies in each district to reinvigorate public life post-pandemic.
Nur is a thought leader in downtown revitalization and has led the development of award-winning economic development strategies recognized by the International Downtown Association and International Economic Development Council. Nur has also been published nationally, including the IEDC Journal, and was co-author of the Commercial District Recovery Guide – a COVID-19 response toolkit for place-based organizations, published by the Local Initiatives Support Corporation, and Neighborhood Commons – a policy directive for public space management and programming across NYC commercial corridors.
