We truly appreciate your generous donations and enthusiastic support for transforming our City’s public space in all five boroughs! We had a fabulous evening and hope you did too. We had a blast celebrating with the Design Trust community our work in ensuring NYC's public realm remains PUBLIC FOR ALL, and celebrating our receipt of the prestigious 2017 National Design Award for Corporate and Institutional Achievement.

You helped us reach our $330,000 goal, and raise the much needed funds for Design Trust’s catalytic work from Mott Haven-Port Morris in the Bronx to the Rockaways in Queens. We also got to hear from Design Trust Fellows Jane Greengold and Emmanuel Oni, who are working on Opening the Edge: Reimagining Green Space at Wald Houses.

And if you didn’t get a chance to donate towards the Design Trust's Opening the Edge project, you still can! Your contribution will enable the reimagined public space designed by a team of Lillian Wald House residents become a reality! Donate now.

Check out your photos from the night of the Art+Design Benefit Auction, chaired by Design Trust co-founder Claire Weisz, and spread the word about Design Trust (and how great of a party it was!) #PublicForAll #DT2017. See photos here.

Emmanuel OniOpening the Edge Active Design Fellow, said, "Imagine co-designing a space with a team of residents and input from over 4000 of their neighbors! I can honestly say without their continued involvement, guidance, and acceptance into their community, we would not have arrived at what you now see behind me."

It’s essential that this new public space be constructed, to show both our Community Design Team that their significant efforts were not in vain, and NYCHA, that their partnership with the Design Trust led to a valuable design process and a great design.
