Potluck under the BQE celebrating Park(ing) Day

While no public space is alike, each one at its core offers the opportunity for gathering and human connection. We especially welcome the gift of public space this summer, as a much needed break from a moment of seemingly heightened societal distress.

In the latest edition of our Public Space newsletter, we cover ways we're gathering in and around public spaces to support each other and strengthen our community. To recap:

  • The Design Trust has joined a coalition of NYC public design organizations towards making the design community stronger, more visible, and better connected. Read more about the Public Design Alliance.

  • As part of Reimagining the Enslaved African Burial Ground at Van Cortlandt Park, two free events this summer at Van Cortlandt Park will explore connections to land, collective memory, and healing. RSVP here.

  • Public Space Potlucks are back! Stay tuned for your invite.
