Join the Design Trust for Public Space and Bronx River Alliance for a Public Space Potluck exploring NYC's only freshwater river!
One of NYC's most underrated natural landscapes is the 24-mile-long Bronx River, flowing from the Kensico Reservoir and providing neighbors with access to a peaceful waterfront greenway, as well as fishing, strolling, biking, birding, boating, and more!
We are heading to Bronx River Alliance's home base at the Bronx River House for a public space potluck to learn more about their work protecting the river and offering communities in the Bronx ways to meaningfully engage with the environment in and around the water.
This event is free and open to the public. Please bring a dish to share if you can! We will provide some snacks, drinks, cups, plates, napkins, etc.
About the Bronx River Alliance
Bronx River Alliance serves as a coordinated voice for the Bronx River and works with 100+ partners to protect and restore the Bronx River corridor and greenway so that it can be a healthy ecological, recreational, educational, and economic resource for the communities through which the river flows. Support the Bronx River at the annual gala, An Upstream Soiree back at the River House on 9/25
