Project products are tools to achieve project outcomes and goals. Work backward from your desired short- and long-term outcomes to identify the type of deliverable that would be most effective in achieving these results. Who are you trying to engage? What medium are they most likely to respond to? A publication or an online video? A built prototype or a website? At the same time, be open to rethinking your assumptions along the way. You may learn that a different format is more suited to your intended constituency, or that you need to reach multiple audiences with distinct deliverables. Whatever you choose to do, focus on creating a high quality product—well-executed deliverables communicate key findings and may help partners leverage funds or build political support for implementation.
