Stephen Campbell is a capital project manager and program executive, trained in architecture, urban design, planning and sustainability. He is president of Phoenix Design, which provides sustainable project management services for architecture firms, government agencies, non-profit organizations, private clients and community groups. 

Previously, Stephen worked for the New York City Department of General Services (DGS), which later became the Department of Design and Construction (DDC). Starting as a Project Manager, he rapidly rose through the agency, to become a Deputy Assistant Commissioner, overseeing design and construction work on a portfolio of nearly three-hundred health, homeless housing, day care, community center and firehouse projects. Stephen holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Carnegie-Mellon and a Master of Urban Design from Harvard's Graduate School of Design. 

He has received three Design Trust fellowships, for High Performance Building Guidelines, Implementing the High Performance Building Guidelines, and Greening Infrastructure in the Public Right-of-Way.
