For the past three years, D. has been working with the Bushwick-based nonprofit organization EcoStation:NY, while also a certificate student in the Social Justice and Urban Agriculture program of Just Food's Farm School. Being surrounded by some of the most powerful community organizers, inspiring activists and talented farmers, innovative youth and awesome elders, D. has been understanding how to be an effective community organizer, activist and educator by using the platforms of agriculture and food, social justice, intergenerational programing, and carpentry.
