Andrew Bernheimer has honed an ability to execute subtle, exciting, and complex architecture within the constraints of real-world construction practices. With a diverse background in design and academia, he partnered with Jared Della Valle in 1996 to form the award-winning architecture practice Della Valle Bernheimer. In 2011 Andrew founded his own firm, Bernheimer Architecture PLLC. He is an Assistant Professor and currently the Director of the Master of Architecture Program at Parsons the New School for Design in New York.

Andrew is a licensed Architect in New York State and a member of NCARB. He is a member of the AIA (American Institute of Architects), a Fellow at the Institute for Urban Design and a member of the Architectural League of New York. In addition to his role at Parsons he has taught at Syracuse University, Lehigh University, the Rhode Island School of Design and The City College of New York. Andrew has lectured at major universities and institutions; his work has been the subject of over fifty articles and publications. In 2009 Think/Make, a monograph on the first decade of his practice at Della Valle Bernheimer, was published in 2009 by Princeton Architectural Press.
