George Kroenert grew up in Oklahoma, and has been working in NYC for the last 27 years. He studied landscape architecture at Kansas State University and holds a MFA in theatrical lighting from Parsons School of Design. Kroenert had his latest solo exhibition at Elizabeth Harris Gallery in New York.

The bristling strips of plastic warp the radiance of the round fixtures (familiar from tenement kitchens), while varying gauges of yellow and orange construction mesh crosshatch the walls, adding evocations of extraterrestrial radio static to Kroenert’s charmingly utilitarian cosmos.
