Founder’s Circle member Kitty Hawks and Larry Lederman generously hosted the event. Tom Wright, President of Regional Plan Association, was the special guest of the evening.

The Founder's Circle was started four years ago by our visionary founder Andrea Woodner. This growing group of supporters who are passionate about the urban environment, provides a foundation of financial support for Design Trust for Public Space’s lasting work on the future of public space in New York City. Members’ contributions help us build a capital fund to start new projects, capturing momentum for topical issues.

The funds that the Founder’s Circle raised last year have supported two active projects, Future Culture: Connecting Staten Island's waterfront and Opening the Edge: Reimagining green space at Wald Houses; the 2017 Call for Project Ideas, Public for All: Rethinking Shared Space in NYC; and the launch of the first of two projects chosen through the Call: Power in Place: Building community wealth and well-being in Mott Haven-Port Morris.
