Design Trust’s work could never happen without the tireless efforts of our partners, fellows, and our generous supporters ensure New York City is truly public for all.

This year, our first El-Space pilot in Sunset Park under the Gowanus Expressway revealed how once dark and neglected space could be transformed to reconnect communities, be pedestrian friendly, and improve the environment.

The Lillian Wald Houses community on the Lower East Side created a vision for a lively gathering place with new benches, a performance stage, new lighting, and new paving!

New York City's first sound sculpture walk, Sonic Gates connects people to discover Staten Island’s dynamic North Shore, an epicenter of local art and culture.

The Court Yard Fridays concert series turned the underused space between Staten Island Borough Hall and the old Supreme Court into a world stage presenting diverse cultures on the North Shore.

Best wishes for a Happy Thanksgiving!

P.S. See our latest Annual Report for further information on Design Trust and our projects. We look forward to what we can accomplish together in 2019!
