NY State Pavilion

Håvard's striking photo of the New York State Pavilion in Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, one of his most favorite NYC spots, received the most likes from the devoted @designtrustnyc followers in March. He's the first winner of our monthly #IlovePublicSpace photo contest in celebration of the Design Trust for Public Space's 20th anniversary.

Håvard is a Norwegian architect based in New York City. His motto is "Alternating between the little things and the bigger picture. Public space to the people," as simply put in his Instagram page. Check out Håvard's photos @havard.breivik.

The competition is on! You can be the next winner! Until the end of April, show us your favorite spot in a #NYC #park and don't forget to tag #IlovePublicSpace #DTturns20 @designtrustnyc. It must be an original photo taken by you. Whoever gets the most likes through April will receive a copy of We Own the City in our new Love Public Space tote made completely by hand in the USA.

Please tag your friends and invite them to submit their photos and follow us on Instagram @designtrustnyc.

A big thank you to Håvard and all of our followers for sharing their love for public space!
