FELLOWSHIPS
After the Design Trust selects a project, we work with our public partners to determine what expertise the program requires. We then award fellowships to the qualified professionals. This page includes a complete list of our current and past fellowship recipients.

About Our Fellows

Fellows have included architects, landscape architects, urban planners, ecologists, journalists, preservationists, photographers, and graphic artists, among others. Many fellows are working at the top of their field, but we also award fellowships to accomplished emerging professionals.

The Fellowship Award

Each fellowship includes a $5,000 to $15,000 stipend and, in most cases, an opportunity to publish project findings. Design Trust fellows are offered a lead role on projects designed to have a real impact on New York City.

Applying for a Fellowship

There is no standing application procedure, as each year's fellows are based on the specific needs of the selected projects. Fellowships descriptions and application information will be posted here as they beome available.
