On October 11, 2005, the Design Trust
held its annual benefit
at the stunning
Tribeca studio of Rafael Viñoly Architects. The cocktail event
recognizes, celebrates, and raises
funds for the Design Trust for Public
Space.
The evening included an
auction of artwork and objects by
a diverse group of artists, including Louise
Bourgeois, Alex Katz, Isaac Mizrahi, Tom
Otterness, Ed Ruscha, Joel Shapiro, and
Kiki Smith. Kitty Hawks, event chair, along
with the Design Trust board of directors,
chaired by Andrea Woodner, were on hand
to encourage lively bidding from the crowd
of over 500.
